The nature and forms of accepted business ethics vary depending on country and region. However, the basic elements of ethics in a business sense on the global corporate society are constant and revolve around applying common moral or ethical norms to business. Many corporations have come under attack about the use of practices that have been considered unethical. These have included the use of underage workers usually at low wages, gender inequality issues and the use of bribes to obtain contracts that are overlooked by some countries (Campbell & Miller, 2004). As a response to such claims, most have formed social responsibility programs in a bid to show the community about the company’s awareness of ethical issues and the steps taken to adhere to the same.
